GE Transportation – IoT SaaS Application UX/UI Design

SUMMARY
GE Transportation and GE CityIQ Node Management are IoT applications that provide real-time data from locomotives and smart city devices through customizable dashboards. The goal was to design a user-friendly interface for controlling these node devices.

PROCESS
I led the design of the UX/UI for the dashboard, focusing on creating an intuitive and efficient control panel for managing IoT devices. Key steps included:

• Stakeholder & User Research: Gathered insights to define user needs and key features.
• Wireframing & Prototyping: Developed wireframes and interactive prototypes to test functionality.
• User Testing & Iteration: Conducted testing to refine the user experience based on feedback.
• Visual Design: Designed a clean, scalable interface for easy data visualization.
• Collaboration with Developers: Worked with the development team to ensure seamless implementation.

The final dashboard provided an intuitive control interface for managing IoT devices, making it easier for users to monitor and interact with real-time data, while ensuring a secure connection to the cloud and neighboring devices.
